I’m Dr. John Syrbu, DDS, FAGD, a Clinical Associate Professor of Family Dentistry at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. My career has taken me from private practice to academics, fueled by a passion for learning, teaching, and creating. I hold a DDS from the University of Iowa and completed a General Practice Residency at the Minneapolis VA Health Care System. Beyond clinical work, I’m the creator of Dental Art & Humor, where I share cartoons and insights into the dental profession. I’ve authored and illustrated several books, including The ABC’s of Dentistry, and frequently present on digital dental photography. Through my work, I aim to engage, educate, and inspire both students and professionals in the ever-evolving world of dentistry.
